2007 Annual Meeting Minutes

The Founders annual meeting was held at Sequoyah Country Club in Oakland, CA on Saturday September 8, 2007. The following items were approved for the 2008 DHI:

• Dates: The 11th anniversary of the DHI will be held from May 14th to May 18th
  
  
• Field: Invitations will be sent to 24 players
  
  
• Venue: Desert Willow Golf Resort will host the 2008 DHI
  
  
• Fees: $1300 per player (includes a $100 charitable contribution to the SF Aids Foundation)
  
  
• Handicaps: A 3-member Handicap Committee will be established for the 2008 DHI. The Handicap Committee will be comprised of DHI participants and will be responsible for reviewing all the player’s handicaps based on the player’s average handicap index during the period beginning April 1, 2007 and ending on March 31, 2008. The Handicap Committee will have the authority to adjust a player’s handicap for the tournament. 75% of a player’s course handicap will be used for team matches. 90% of a player’s course handicap will be used for the Singles matches.
  
  
• Format:The “sit” two players during team play formats implemented during the 2007 DHI was universally rejected by the field. The 2008 DHI will revert back to all players competing for points during the tournament. In the event of an injury or other matter that prevents a player from competing in advance of or during a Foursomes (alternate shot) match, the short-handed team will forfeit the match. In the event of an injury or other matter that prevents a player from competing in advance of or during a Four Ball (better ball) match, the short-handed team will be allowed to compete with 1 player in the match. A Singles match will be forfeited if a player is unable to perform due to a serious physical aliment or because they had to leave the Tournament early. The Singles matches will be conducted under the same terms and condition as they were during the 2007 event including opponents riding together and a ban on any discussion with outside agencies.
  
  
• Draft: The draft selection process will change slightly. The first draft selection will be determined by a coin toss. The player selections will alternate through the seventh pick. The eighth and ninth player selections will belong to the Captain that picked second. The remaining player selections will then revert to alternate picks.
